- Abstract
The article discusses Tier 3 reading instruction, which focuses on individualized intervention, for adolescents as part of a response to intervention (RTI) model of instruction for students that are at risk for reading failure. Topics addressed include the implementation of RTI models in secondary schools, and approaches to planning Tier 3 instruction based on primary and secondary reading content and pedagogical activities.
