- Abstract
The article reviews the photography exhibition "Shoot! Existential Photography" at the Photographer's Gallery in London, England from October, 12, 2012 through January 6, 2013 and the book "Shoot! Existential Photography," by Clement Cheroux. The relationship between the camera and the gun, including a photograph of the French existentialist philosophers Simone de Beauvoir and Jean Paul Sartre at a Paris, France photographic rifle range, is discussed. The existential nature of the themes in the "Shoot! Existential Photography" book and photography exhibition are also discussed.
