- Abstract
The article presents a study on the effect of mercuric chloride sublethal concentration to the ovary of Rana heckscheri river frog. The authors tested the ovarian effect of sublethal concentration of mercuric chloride from Sigma Chemical Co. to Rana frogs collected from Hillsborough River in Hillsborough County, Florida in 1990. Results show that 4.4 mg / L concentration of mercuric chloride do not result to frog mortality but cause body and ovarian weight losses for female frogs.
