- Abstract
The article presents information related to the threatened species of fish Silvinichthys bortayro. Its common name is yuska. Except for the lack of the pelvic fin and girdle, pale pigmentation, and reduction of the eye, the species is very similar to Silvinichthys mendozensis. Living in groundwater, this small catfish is an invertivore. Preying mainly on insects and crustaceans, it is carnivorous generalist.
