- Abstract
Mr. Yu Yi is a respected people' s educator who is rooted in the Chinese land, Chinese culture and Chinese education. She has dedicated her life to cracking the internal code of teachers ' professional development in China with her research, practice and innovation in education and teaching. Her wise words, "Be a teacher all one' s life, learn to be a teacher all one' s life", have become a familiar motto among teachers all over the country. It is not only the words from Yu Yi' s heart through her practice and perception, but also a profound interpretation of the intrinsic characteristics of teachers ' professional development. "Being a teacher all one' s life" is the firm belief of being a teacher, and "learning to be a teacher all one' s life" is the lifelong learning based on the belief.
