- Abstract
The thermooptical properties of composites based on a low-density polyethylene matrix containing stabilized cadmium sulfide nanoparticles have been studied. The optical absorption coefficient and refractive index have been measured in the samples with various concentrations of nanoparticles dispersed in the polymer matrix. It is established that, upon reaching a certain temperature, the subsequent heating and cooling of a sample are accompanied by hysteresis in the optical properties.
