- Title
THE ANTI-TRUST PROSECUTION AGAINST THE AMERICAN MEDICAL ASSOCIATION.
- Authors
RAUB, JR., BENJAMIN D.
- Abstract
The article offers information on the anti-trust prosecution against the American Medical Association (AMA) and its affiliates. The indictment suggests that AMA tried to restrain Group Health Association (GHA) in its businesses. The indictment document also suggests that AMA tried to restrain GHA members in obtaining adequate medical care for themselves. The defendants, namely AMA, the Medical Society of the District of Columbia, and the Harris County Medical Society, attacked the sufficiency of the indictments. They alleged that the indictment was not sufficient to maintain a prosecution under the Sherman Act.
