- Abstract
The article offers news briefs related to health research in Great Britain. Researchers found that exercise, not smoking, healthy eating and moderate drinking significantly decrease risk in stroke among older people. Another study showed that women with higher levels of a hormone secreted by the placenta through pregnancy seem to be at risk for postpartum depression (PPD). Research found that children on a mobile phone while crossing the street were 43% more likely to be hit.
