- Abstract
The article examines the rhetorical implications of two questions that the biblical figure Saul asked the Lord but which the Lord did not answer in 1 Samuel 14:37 and 28:6 of the Bible. Topics include a rhetorical analysis of the Lord's silence in response to questions, the Hebrew language of sin in the passages, as well as the argument regarding the narrative framing of these passages.
