- Abstract
Microturbine is a compact, turbine geneator that delivers electricity onsite, or close the point where it is needed. It is suitable for application ranging from remote location to city centres, delivering clean, high quality power from a wide variety of fuels with superior safety and emissions. It offers the best value for clean and reliable small-scale power production In this paper, first, we present a dynamic model for a microturbine generation system. Thenafter, we study the effects of double line-to-ground faults and three phase faults in a microturbine generation system in grid connected operation. The faults happened in the conjuction of grid and microturbine generation system. We present the variations of current and also the changes in active and reactive powers due to the faults. The system has four main parts : a microturbine, a permanents magnetic generator, three phase bridge rectifier and inverter. The model is developed in Matlab / Simulnik.
