- Authors
Engel, Kirsten H.
- Abstract
The article discusses the issues on the legitimacy of using a regional approach when implementing renewable energy use in the U.S. It talks on the debate about the effectiveness and the prevalence of the so-called got it alone approach in implementing the state renewable portfolio standards (RPS). It also emphasizes the legal danger of regional approach to renewable policy and the validity of in-state location preferences in state RPS law. The article also features a case which is intended to demonstrate a regional approach to state RPS.
