- Abstract
The article discusses the findings of a study which examined the effects of the implementation of a policy to reduce user fees on the rate of skilled birth attendance in Burkina Faso. Topics covered include the increase in the number of skilled birth attendance following the introduction of a subsidy on maternal health user fees in 2007 across all socioeconomic status strata and calculation of the descriptive statistics for the women.
