- Abstract
The article presents a case study related to the gold reserves in the Central Asian state of Tajikistan which remain unearthed because of a precautionary and highly administrative approach to international investment law. Topics include a national mineral policy (NMP) stated to improve Tajikistan's national standing in the World Trade Organization as a member nation, and creation of a framework for international investment law and policy to facilitate an advantageous NMP for host countries.
