- Abstract
The article discusses the court case Vacca v. Missouri Department of Labor and Industrial Relations which deals with the doctrine of judicial estoppel. The plaintiff, Matthew Vacca, filed the lawsuit against his employer for retaliation and wrongful termination. The trial court refused to apply judicial estoppel to Vacca's claim of future lost wages. The Supreme Court reversed the judgment of the trial court awarding Vacca actual and punitive damages including future lost wages.
