- Abstract
This paper presents a pedagogical approach that allows business students to gain a better understanding of a contemporary legal issue and the broader legal and social context in which managerial decisions are made. Using the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act (and the pay discrimination lawsuit which preceded it) as a pedagogical tool, we provide a coordinated approach and detailed teaching notes that allow for an examination of the Ledbetter case from the perspective of business law coursework and from the viewpoint of management coursework in the area of business and society.
