- Authors
Xiao, Jean
- Abstract
The article discusses the possibility that consumer litigation funding (CLF) in America may cause some plaintiffs to reject settlement offers, and it also mentions heuristics, cognitive biases, and a proposed behavioral law-and-economics framework for settlements in the U.S. Various concerns regarding America's judicial system are mentioned, along with lawsuit-related costs, U.S. attorneys, and financiers in the CLF segment of the nation's "alternative litigation finance" (ALF) industry.
