- Abstract
The article reports on the legislative expansion of the pharmacists' duty of care in the U.S. and the expected adoption of negligence liability amidst the opioid epidemic. Other topics include the judicial application of the learned intermediary doctrine to pharmacists, and the responsibilities of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) in regulating the practice of pharmacy.
