The article discusses the activism of women and intergenerational approach in women's independence organizing in liberation movement of Puerto Rico, with focus on activist Emilia Rodríguez Sotero. It details her participation in 1970's fishermen's war in Vieques, Puerto RIco. It discusses influence of Pedro Albizu Campos and independentista women including her aunt Baldramina Sotero Cervoni from Puerto Rican Independence Party (PIP) and Nationalist Party activist Isabel Rosado Morales.
