- Abstract
The article presents a study which examined the bathing procedures for patients in both acute and long term care facilities in Kentucky, as well as the procedures for labeling, cleaning and disposing of reusable bath basins as of October 2016. Also cited are the study by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) showing the number of cases of healthcare-associated infection (HAI) in U.S. hospitals, and the various microorganisms found in bath basins like Gram negative organisms.
