- Title
Starting Early for Financial Success: Capability into Action.
- Abstract
The Financial Literacy and Education Commission ( FLEC) was established by Congress in 2003 to improve the financial literacy and education of persons in the United States. As part of its mission, the FLEC partnered with the Journal of Consumer Affairs to publish a special issue to promote research on financial literacy and financial capability, as well as host a symposium for policymakers that highlighted the findings from the resulting research. This editorial discusses the key insights for policymakers that emerged from the research published here in the special issue.
