Abstract
The article reports on the resolution of the legal case of Cobell vs. Kempthorne. In the case, the U.S. District Court determined that an award of $455,600,000 was appropriate in a longstanding case in which several plaintiffs, led by Eloise Cobell, filed a lawsuit seeking the return of Individual Indian monies not appropriately accounted for by the U.S. federal government.
