- Abstract
The article presents the results of a study comparing two teaching models, the intensive format and the traditional format, to determine which has better success in improving students' performance in organic chemistry. The results show that the former allows the introduction of new teaching ideas and learning advantages while in the latter, the instructor has less time for innovative teaching and for student interaction in class. Data on whether students in the intensive courses learn the material as well as those in the traditional courses are included.
