- Authors
Mohamedou, Mohammad-Mahmoud Ould
- Abstract
The author argues that the future challenge will be to recapture internationally the genuine universality of the human rights movement. He cites the formal acknowledgement of slavery, colonialism and their legacies into the modern world as crimes against humanity, during the United Nations World Conference against Racism in Durban, South Africa in 2001. He also cites the differences of opinions regarding the themes discussed at the conference and the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.
