- Abstract
The article reports on the pork peptone stimulation of cholecystokinin secretion from enteroendocrine cells which suppresses appetite in rats. A prominent contributor to several habit-related diseases such as obesity and diabetes is the excessive food intake. Therefore a control of appetite has the merit of preventing increasing threats from these medical complications. The purpose of this study was to find new appetite suppressing peptides from the dietary protein sources.
