- Abstract
The article presents a study on the significance of edible thorny oyster in Japan. The mollusk is traditionally used as medicine promoting maintenance for hepatic actions. Hypothesis of the study revealed that the edible oyster can help control the actions of carbon tetrachloride to aspartate and alanine aminotransferase in mice. Thus, results showed that the oyster is relevant in giving protection against liver injuries.
