- Abstract
The article reports on the reduction of copyright registration in the U.S. towards application receivers. It mentions the erroneous interpretation of the copyright act's registration requirement as well as the adoption of application approach in the case of Cosmetic Ideas Inc. against Interactivecorp (IAC). It notes that the registration offers the essential component for all copyright infringement claims. An overview on the historical framework of the act in the said case is also discussed.
