- Abstract
The article examines how the economist Friedrich Hayek envisioned the task of the neoliberal economist that may offer a perspective on the proposal of some economists for economics to move away from neoliberalism and adopt an economics characterized by inclusive prosperity. Topics covered include recognition by Hayek that the argument for capitalism had to be won in moral and political grounds, links between moral and economic life, according to Hayek and Hayek's writing against socialism.
