- Abstract
The article reports on the effort of the Deutsche Telekom (DT) delegation organized by ver.di the largest union in Germany, to meet with T-Mobile workers as part of their mission to seek better treatment for U.S. wireless workers. Nearly 1,000 workers have signed up for membership to TU, a union for T-Mobile USA workers. The disciplinary procedures of DT in Germany include the right to union representation and a fair hearing. Professor John Logan of San Francisco State University says DT has not signed any organizing rights deal with the Union Network International (UNI) and its anti-union policy in the U.S. is the major obstacle in reaching an agreement.
