- Abstract
The article presents a study on the inhibitory effects of catechins on the periodontopathogenic bacterium eikenella corrodens's biofilm formation. The study involves biofilm assays to inhibit the effects of biofilm formation by adding one millimeter (mM) of the catechins with the pyrogallol-type B-ring and the galloyl group. The result shows that catechin at sub-minimal inhibitory concentration (MIC) is possible to inhibit the biofilm formation of eikenella corrodens.
