- Abstract
In this study, a promising design of a vortex hydrodiode for a hydraulic drive (with increased profitability compared with that of known vortex diode designs) was discussed, and the primary methods for investigating the fluid flow in the flow part of hydraulic diodes were reviewed. Moreover, the turbulence models employed for numerical modeling were analyzed. Numerical simulation of fluid flow in the channels of a vortex hydrodiode with increased profitability using various turbulence models was conducted. Additionally, the findings obtained were compared with experimental data, and recommendations were given on the selection of turbulence models while estimating the flow of liquid in the flow part of the hydrodiode.
