The article focuses on influence on the law of freedom of expression as John Roberts and conceptual parameters of these philosophical concerns, there is the decisional law of the First Amendment. It mentions First Amendment free expression decisions rendered by the Court and ever-tending libertarian tilt of free speech law in the commercial speech and union fees arenas. It also mentions campaign finance cases notably the 5-4 decision in Citizens United v. FEC.
