- Authors

- Abstract
The geriatric canine is an increasing population where breed type determines the aged patient. Multi-medical problems exist and must be considered in any physiotherapy programme prescribed. Close attention should be paid to pain, and pain eliminated wherever possible to achieve better outcomes so that the therapist can achieve the functional and realistic goals being set. This article outlines the potential physical problems presented in the elderly canine and the associated physiotherapy that can be used to address these. The aim of the physiotherapy is to reduce pain and improve quality of life.
