Abstract
The article presents news briefs relating to health. A study by Walter Rocca of the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota showed that premenopausal women who have had their ovaries removed but do not receive adequate hormone replacement therapy have a higher risk of death from several causes. Researchers in the African American Hereditary Prostate Cancer study network have identified genes associated with prostate cancer risk in African American men.
