- Abstract
This article investigates the global mindset of internationalized emerging countries' companies (late movers). Because they are newcomers in the international arena and in global competition they may have lower global mindset than multinationals from developed countries (fist movers). Therefore, the study tested whether the origin in an emerging country may indeed influence the global mindset of companies. Results indicate that the fact of being a late mover is not the main impacting factor on global mindset, but rather the company's degree of internationalization. Thus, regardless of its origin - whether in emerging or developed countries - the more internationalized are firms, the higher tend to be their global mindset.
