- Title
Emergency Child Care Service: The Evaluation of a Project.
- Authors
Miller, Merle K.; Fay, Henry J.
- Abstract
The article discusses the strengths and the weaknesses of the Emergency Child Care Committee established in Springfield, Massachusetts. The committee was established due to the prevalence of neglected children in the city. Because several social welfare agencies ceased from operating, the necessity for emergency child care started to exist. Emergencies would not have been handled by professional caseworkers and appropriate supportive services if the services of the committee had not been available.
