Discusses the evidence that physicians have healthier lifestyles and lower mortality rates than the general public, according to the National Occupational Mortality Surveillance database. How the healthy behaviors of physicians are motivated by their patients; Findings that physicians who exercise more were more likely to counsel their patients about exercise; Association between the healthy habits of medical students and their attitudes about preventive counseling; Consideration of how physicians' health attitudes affect the motivation and outlook of their patients.
