- Abstract
This article presents the author featuring her experiences about Alaskan Haida stories of language growth and regeneration. The author shares her mother's story about the language. The story states that English language fluency as a tool for Indigenous survival is common to Native peoples, as is the desire to see Native languages flourish again. In addition, the author explores some studies on Haida conducted by linguists. The studies focused primarily on description and analysis for scientific purposes.
