- Abstract
The dissertation by Maria Schreiber examines digital image practices among different age groups and generations. The study utilizes the documentary method and investigates the dimensions of action and conditions of digital image practices. It is determined that the differences between generations are not fundamental. However, the study identifies some generation-specific peculiarities, particularly regarding the use of software among teenagers compared to the use of hardware among older individuals. The text emphasizes the importance of hardware and software for the fusion of human and technical actors and explores the impact of smartphones and their software applications on image practice and sociality. It is recommended to conduct further research regarding generations and the connection between digital practice and images.
