- Abstract
The article focuses on the relationship between Flavius Josephus' text and the book of Jeremiah. Josephus states that the Babylonian campaign took place in the fifth year after the sacking of Jerusalem that was the twenty-third year of the reign of King of Babylonia Nebuchadnezzar. The important issue is the text of Jeremiah that moves into a series of poetic oracles whcih do not narrate a fulfillment to Jeremiah's prediction.
