- Abstract
The article presents a study on the resistance of diverse wheat seeds to the attack by Tribolium castaneum or red flour beetle. The researchers conducted the experiments on the population development of red flour beetle on wheat grains at the Department of Entomology laboratory of Sindh Agriculture University in Tandojam, Pakistan, from August 20, 2004 to January 20, 2005. They found a strong correlation between seed tolerance and pest population, wherein the rate of infestation is expected to rise as the insect population potential increased.
