- Title
INTERCOMMUNION: A CHURCH OF ENGLAND PERSPECTIVE.
- Authors
Nichols, Bridget
- Abstract
The past half century has seen a growth in discussions about the Eucharist between the Anglican and Roman Catholic Churches--mainly in connection with ARCIC. However, this process has to be set in the context of the significant developments such as the growth in the diversity of Church of England worship during the period, other developments such as the ordination of women, and changes in the Anglican Communion. Moreover, older issues, such as the rejection of Anglican Orders, have not gone away but been given new prominence in documents such as One Bread One Body. If the official level dialogue is far more complex than was earlier imagined, this is paralleled by a new complexity at levels of parish and practice.
