- Abstract
A re-reading of Peruvian authors José Carlos Mariátegui, César Vallejo, and José María Eguren is made from the view of the Chilean poet and essay writer Andres Sabella, putting emphasis on the notion of utopia -as the nonplace, the impossible- not only in the political and economical ambit, but from the construction of a "world" where imagination and dreaming may build, during childhood, a view against ugliness and monocromaticity, establishing the "impossible world" of what was estimated as "lost" during childhood with strong lyric images. Sabella's interpretation -like Peruvian author's texts- lies within the context of a cultural nationalism construction, as a correlation to the search of a Latin American identity expressing the differences with the USA.
