- Abstract
Purpose: The revolution in acquiring knowledge and skill has led to emphasis on E- Learning which is electronic based learning. This study intends to measure satisfaction of end-user while e-learning and their intention to continue with e-learning. Methodology: The questionnaire was circulated among about 250 students out of which 104 responses were usable responses. The response rate was 41.6%. The correlation between various factors is measured and results are discussed. Findings: The two major finding of the study was, a) training through e-learning is positively related to end-user's satisfaction and b) expectation-confirmation lead to higher end-user's satisfaction. Research limitations: Using students as subjects could have an impact on the results, so professionals should also be explored further. Further one may explore to investigate the impact of expectations and disconfirmation on Web-customer satisfaction by clearly delineating Web-IQ and Web-SQ dimensions. Practical implications: From academic point of view E-learning literatures have little empirical work done with satisfaction as their dependent variable. As far as managerial implications are concerned since, E-learning have higher level of satisfaction attached with it, managers can think of making e-learning as a core part of their training strategy. Originality/value: The invasion of technology has made the world with options in every field. The leverage enjoyed by the end-users is suppose to make them feel more satisfied because e-learning provides them opportunity on their own discretion and control over what they learn and how they learn. But computer self-efficacy was found to have no relation with satisfaction.
