- Abstract
The article presents a study about relations of personal orientation inventory (POI), Shipley-Hartford scale scores, supervisor and peer ratings of counseling competency for clergymen in clinical training. The correlations between these factors were explored for clergymen in clinical training at a state hospital. The relationship of .64 between supervisor and peer ratings was observed. It appeared that the POI scales were somewhat better predictors of supervisor ratings than of peer ratings. Peer ratings showed to be independent of both intelligence and conceptual ability as measured by the Shipley-Hartford Institute of Living Scale.
