- Abstract
The article focuses on the increasing frequency and complexity of fungal infections, including invasive aspergillosis and candidaemia, worldwide. Reported candidaemia cases in Great Britain have increased from 1398 to 1873, while invasive aspergillosis cases in Europe have increased in which 4% of patients were dead. Japan and the U.S. also reported increased number of fungal infection cases. Meanwhile, studies revealed the effectiveness of AmBisome in managing fungal infections.
