- Title
Determining temperature lapse rates over mountain slopes using vertically weighted regression: a case study from the Pyrenees.
- Abstract
The article presents a study that determined temperature lapse rates on mountain slopes through vertically weighted regression. The study was performed during a cold season in the Pyrenees Range that longitudinally extends to 435 kilometers, with peaks and valleys that cause temperature inversions, extreme wind chill and Foehn effect. It mentions in the methodology the following constructing regressions as determining predictors, regression coefficients, and vertically weighted regression.
