The article presents a case study on the religious aspects of the the poetry collection "Hecatompolis Suionum" ("Hundred Towns of the Swedes") by Olof Hermelin. Emphasis is given to topics such as anti-Catholic and pro-Lutheran propaganda in literature, sepulchral poems, and elegies for towns in Sweden.
