- Abstract
The article discusses judicial career of former Chief Justice Samuel Freedman during his posting at the Court of Queen's Bench, Manitoba. Topics discussed include invitation of Minister of Justice of Canada Stuart Garson to become a judge of the Court of Queen's Bench, being the first Jew to be appointed to the Bench in Western Canada, and his involvement in the Civil Liberties Association of Manitoba and the Winnipeg branch of the League of Nations Society.
