- Abstract
The effect of Cervus elaphus Velvet antler blood (CVAB) and its hydrolysates (peptide I and II) on immunological and anti-oxidative function of mice was investigated on this paper. The index of immune organs, proliferation of mice spleen lymphocyte in vitro, hemolysin content in serum, antibody-producing cell of spleen, anti-oxidation index, SOD activity and MDA content of serum in mice were carried out. Peptide II with highest clearance rate of OH ⋅ (50%) obviously enhance immunological and anti-oxidative function of mice (P<0.01 or P<0.05). There is a significant correlation between anti-oxidation and immunity (P<0.05).
