The article offers information on the works of engineers in improving the lives of some of the poorest people in developing countries. It offers the insights of Jennifer Byram of the charity Engineers Without Borders UK (EWB-UK), and process engineer Sarah Button on the projects of EWB-UK including the international placement programme and Raincatcher rainwater harvesting systems in Tanzania, respectively.
